Oxidized sterling silver
Two elements of oxidized sterling silver compose a composition of contemporary beauty derived from its shapely disposition. Artist, Valentine Dubois, coaxes the silver to immaculate precision. Nearly faceting the metal, the silver is slightly bent to lure the eye as light travels from one surface to the next. With a narrow and lengthened piece of silver, the two main forms are adhered together in the interior by the way of silver pins. Inciting further stability, Dubois eloquently balances the pendant by a three-layered cord. She achieves additional cohesionby stringing the third cord through the core of the pendant so that the composition lays perfectly upon the body. A work of sculptural edifice, Dubois' piece is a treasure to behold, yet a grander magnificence to adorn.
